LaForma Australia have a reputation for sophisticated furniture which is perfect for the Australian aesthetic of indoor-outdoor living. We can’t wait to see their new collections at Decor + Design and the Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF), 14 – 17 July in Melbourne.
“Exhibiting at the show is a highlight on our event calendar,” says Jodie Hansen, National Sales Manager at LaForma. “We love experiencing the first reactions to our new products and sharing the excitement and buzz with attendees.”
“We are also feeling so grateful to once again be able to personally connect with likeminded industry professionals. In this post-covid world we feel this is an essential show to re-energise, re-connect and move into an exciting future in the industry.”
This year LaForma will be unveiling their Spring-Summer ‘22 collections, for indoors and out. Expect dark, moody and monochrome colourways in sleek and contemporary styles for timeless elegance. This dramatic palette will be offset by the harmony of nature, where imperfections, textures and unique tones are highlighted in natural materials, and sustainability and artisanal production set the trend.
LaForma to Launch New Design Trade Platform Kave Pro at Decor + Design
LaForma is a furniture company that believes in doing things differently. They’re on a mission to revolutionise the world of interiors and create unique designs in a sustainable way.
“While we have previously been in the traditional wholesale-only space, we are excited to have recently launched our newest brand Kave Home,” says Jodie.
It’s a direction that will give them a 360-degree offering in the furniture, design and decoration industry.
“With our new platform, we aim to drive direct consumer desire, while offering enviable trade conditions via our Kave Pro program, officially launching at this year’s Decor + Design show.”
“Our professional service for Kave Pro is made to ease the customer experience and to offer special conditions and services to make interior design projects iconic and unique.”
LaForma and Kave Home are currently working with an amazing cross section of commercial projects, with large hotel groups as part of their portfolio. They are also working hand-in-hand with talented architects on beautiful residential homes.
For the first time, LaForma will also be dressing the stage for the Seminar Series, which will feature star speakers including David Hicks, David Flack, Collette Dinnigan, Shaynna Blaze, Jamie Durie, Jason Grant, Anna Spiro and Adelaide Bragg.
“What an honour to be invited to dress the main stage! This year we are highlighting soft and textured textiles with beautiful light & pastel tones,” says Jodie. “Of course, keeping the comfort of the presenters at the forefront.”
Sustainability is Always at the Forefront
Sustainability is now a major consideration in all design. For the first time at Decor + Design in 2022, Design Matters National will host a Sustainability Hub, showcasing environmental ideas and products for the design industry.
LaForma Australia always ensures quality and sustainability in the manufacturing process, with sustainability set as one of LaForma’s core company values.
“We’ll always be committed to making things better,” says Jodie. “We keep our responsibility to the planet and humanity at the forefront of everything we do and are extremely proud of all our sustainability-related projects and collaborations.”
In the words of LaForma’s founder Francesc Julia, “We want social and environmental awareness, design and quality to be embedded in equal parts in our brand and products’ DNA.”
“We design pieces made from recycled and recyclable materials and manufacture our products consciously. As well as selecting the best materials and using traditional techniques, we also fulfil our commitment to society by partnering with community projects. We refuse to choose between design and sustainability – our dream is to be part of your home but always in a sustainable way.”
LaForma’s sustainable approach covers a whole range of aspects, from raw materials to production processes, suppliers, the company and its facilities, the design process, social responsibility and much more.
“We are aware of the furniture industry’s impact on the environment and aim to minimise this as much as we can. One of our priorities is transparency in all our projects and communication. Knowing where, how and by whom our pieces are produced is essential to understanding what we are trying to achieve.”
“One of our main prerequisites when choosing our suppliers is to make sure they share our values. We verify that they follow environmentally and socially responsible processes and carry out sustainable production, assuring humane and dignified working conditions for all their employees.”
