Take an exciting first look at the 2023 Green Design Hub at Decor + Design & The Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF), 13 – 16 July in Melbourne! It will take visitors on a deep exploration of what sustainability in the design industry truly looks like.

It will also feature beautiful sustainable products available to the industry right now, from brands including Armadillo, Cultivated by Cult Design, Enviro Hide, Hameland, E9 Design, AH Beard, Zepel, ResiLoop, TRAKS Textile Recycling, Cosentino and more.

Curated and styled by Karie Soehardi of  Circular Design Thinking (CDT) with the end in mind, the Green Design Hub stand will be created to be dismantled easily, with componentry that’s reused, recycled or upcycled. Materials and waste will be tracked as the stand is assembled and the waste documented. Each piece in the GDH carefully-curated space is being delivered carbon neutral to the show, elevating the need for products to be specified as such in the real world.

Showcased will be local and international brand owners and manufacturers who care about how they create and take responsibility for their wares. GDH will also take designers on a journey of the product life-cycle from concept stage to end-of-life, sharing information with the designers about innovation, recycling, digital product passports and other accountabilities in the environmental sphere.

CDT will hold small talks on the stand about carbon terminology, ESG, the importance of design – elevating designers’ confidence in specifying ‘sustainability’ as our industry changes.

All of this is covered in a stunning and sensory experience that inspires aesthetically whilst creating a model for our industry to replicate as we shift from linear production models to that of Circularity.
