Something FRESH! is coming. The Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF) & Decor + Design, 15 – 17 July 2026 in Melbourne, will add multiple new areas to become true festival of furniture, design and materials.
Alongside established features such as the VIVID Emerging Designer Awards, new focus areas will be added to enrich the visitor experience, with Hardware Lane, The Surface Edit, Designer District, Hotel Lounge, Luminate and Texture weaving the threads of the design and furniture industry together, making it a must-visit destination for retail chains, online retailers, independent stores, and commercial buyers
With the theme of FRESH!, a vibrant new colour palette and an aesthetic drawn from the works of Matisse, Picasso and Georges Braque, the 2026 show will be playful and joyful. Decor + Design 2025, Melbourne Exhibition Centre
Decor + Design
Now in its 22nd edition, Decor + Design will showcase 200+ exhibitors in interior design, from indoor and outdoor furniture to soft furnishings and accessories. This is where creativity meets commerce, offering a platform for designers, buyers, and retailers to connect and collaborate.
Green Design Show & Green Design Trail
Celebrating its third edition, the Green Design Show will highlight how innovative materials and practices are shaping the future of design and architecture. The Green Design Trail will guide attendees through inspirational installations, interactive workshops and material showcases, demonstrating how circular design can combine beauty and functionality.
International Seminar Series
Over the past 22 years, the International Seminar Series at Decor + Design has become Australia’s most important annual line-up of design thinkers from around the world. Past speakers include Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Allegra Hicks, Karim Rashid, Nate Berkus, Abigail Ahern, Scarlet Opus, Greg Natale, David Flack, David Hicks and many, many more. Hardware Lane
With a name inspired by Melbourne’s iconic Hardware Lane, this area will celebrate the essential elements that bring both functionality and character to spaces. Exhibitors will showcase high-quality hardware, including door and cabinet knobs, taps, hinges, and smart fixtures. Styled stands will demonstrate how the right hardware can elevate interiors.
Luminate
Decorative lighting will take the spotlight at the Luminate pavilion. This artistic installation will be curated by a leading Melbourne lighting designer and feature products from Australian lighting studios, encouraging experimentation with colour, form and technology.
Hotel Lounge
The new Hotel Lounge will be a hub for professionals in hospitality and commercial property design and buying. Free talks will explore how materials and concepts are redefining comfort and style for guests. Exhibitors who supply to these sectors will be located in the vicinity to showcase their latest collections.
Designer District
The Designer District will celebrate the creativity of both emerging talents and established Australian designers. Located between the Alchemy Bar and Seminar Theatre, this curated area will feature signature styles and collections, offering opportunities for collaboration and inspiration.
Texture
A sensory experience, the Texture pavilion will explore the tactile qualities of textiles and fabrics. From luxurious silks to recycled fibres, this space will highlight how textures can add depth and personality to interiors. There will also be live demonstrations of artisanal techniques, such as weaving and hand-dyeing.
The Surface Edit
The Surface Edit will celebrate surface design, showcasing wallpapers, treatments, paints, art, photography and other decorative elements. From bold, graphic prints to subtle, textured designs, this area will inspire attendees to experiment with surfaces in their own projects.
