16 JunThe 3 Milan Colour Trends to Know

Milan Design Week was a cornucopia of colour and inspiration! However there were three key colour palettes which clearly stood out from the rest. Take a look at what’s going to be big in the coming year.

All images below were taken by the Decor + Design team in Milan.

SANTA MARIA NOVELLA

Dusty pinks, greens and ecru (the colour of unbleached linen) were prominent in 2022. It reminded us of the ancient Basilica di Santa Maria Novella in Florence, a hop and a skip from Milan.

We love these pink drawers from Acerbis, as well as the deep green sofa from luxury powerhouse Knoll.

Strong pops of yellow and orange in varying shades were a huge theme this year. From bright yellow to mustard and burnt orange.

COBBLESTONE GREY

Finally, a medley of greys could be seen, such as in the Universal Collection of chairs by Jean Marie Massoud for MDF Italia.

Patricia Urquiola’s beautiful collaboration with Kartell is another stylish example.
