International travel may be off the agenda but you can gain inspiration closer to home this July. A stellar line-up of Australian design talents are gathering at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th July 2021.
The MEC will transform into a gorgeous village of design and furniture inspiration for Decor + Design and the Australian International Furniture Fair, with hundreds of exhibitors showing the latest in indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting, textiles, workspace design and contemporary art.
Featured speakers at this year’s Australian House & Garden Seminar Series will include interior designer, presenter and style writer, James Treble, top designers Mim Fanning, Cameron Kimber, Jeremy Bull (below) and Adelaide Bragg (pictured above), plus design authorities Robyn Holt and Interiors Addict’s Jen Bishop.
Tanya Buchanan, Editor-in-Chief of Australian House & Garden, will be hosting the seminar program – plus don’t miss AH&G’s Interiors Editor Kate Nixon’s ‘Australian Styling Masterclass’ on Thursday 15th July.
The uber-style guru Thomas Hamel will be speaking on Friday 16th July in conversation with his Creative Director Becky Yager, who worked with luminaries such as Nate Berkus before moving to Australia.
Juliette Arent and Sarah-Jane Pyke of Arent & Pyke will also speak on the Friday. Known for their exquisite interiors, they will reveal the fundamental elements which help them create liveable, honest and breathtakingly beautiful rooms.
Sydney-based Swedish designer Anna-Carin McNamara will be a highlight on Saturday 17th July, sharing the essence of sustainability which pervades Scandinavian design.
Sustainability will be a focus of the entire show, with a new Sustainability Hub hosted by Design Matters. Visitors will be able to explore a luxe Tiny House fully kitted out with sustainable design products.
