We’re delighted to announce that Dulux Australia will be the official Colour Partner for Decor + Design and the Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF) in 2023. The theme for the 19th edition of Australia’s premier interiors trade event is Elevate; so it’s only fitting one of Australia’s most respected paint brands will be providing colour inspiration over the coming year!
Taking place from 13 – 16 July 2023 at Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Decor + Design will have an increased focus on Australian Made furniture and socially conscious design that factors in the environment and the community.
Premium Paint – Proudly Made in Australia
Dulux has been helping Australians change their homes and communities since 1918. Over the decades, they’ve become the nation’s favourite paint and have been voted the most trusted paint brand in Australia for the last nine years in a row (Reader’s Digest, 2021). Dulux’s innovation, premium quality and even the famous ‘Dulux Dog’ have made them an Australian icon.
Dulux paints are famously formulated to last, with colours that look freshly painted for years. The company constantly innovates and launches new products, from paints that can survive Australia’s extreme weather to paints with antibacterial properties.
The Dulux paint you buy in Australia is also made in Australia. Dulux has facilities in both Victoria and Queensland, and their plant in Merrifield in Melbourne’s north is the largest paint factory in Australia and New Zealand. Opened in 2018, it features world-class technology to provide Australians with the very highest quality paint.
Elevating Australian Life Through Colour
The team at Dulux are experts in forecasting new colour directions. The Dulux Colour Forecast 2023 is bursting with inspiration across three key trends: Balance, Connect and Revive.
The palette for Decor + Design and AIFF 2023 will be inspired by the playful and healing ‘Revive’ palette. It features soft blue and lilac used alongside vibrant emerald, warm yellow and accents of playful pink and purple.
“The Revive palette is creative and joyful,” says Andrea Lucena-Orr, Colour & Communication Manager of Dulux.
“With a need to feel secure and empowered we unleash our creativity and set ourselves free from regulations. Our individual style emerges as we reject past constraints, resulting in a joyful collision of colour and pattern. The freedom of the metaverse allows for creative expression while the power of play has the ability to heal.”
Watch Out for Dulux’s ‘Breezy Blue’ at Decor + Design & AIFF 2023
The Decor + Design and Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF) logos will feature the soft blue of Dulux’s ‘Breezy Half’, juxtaposed against the white of ‘Lexicon Quarter’. These will also be the key colours on display at the event in July 2023.
The Revive palette is also a clash of modern and revived styles from the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s and 80s. Look out for patterns that are graphic, funky, wavy, checked, pixelated and geometric.
Other colours to watch out for at the show include ‘Perplexed’, ‘Princess Pink’ and ‘Paper Brown’, popping through features such as the Champagne Lounge and the Seminar Theatre.
