NEWS ALERT: Two talented Brits will be forsaking the English summer for the wintry design metropolis that is Melbourne in July, bringing us their sought-after expertise at The Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF) & Decor + Design. Renowned designer Abigail Ahern and top futurist Victoria Redshaw will both be joining us for the 20th edition.
We are thrilled that Victoria Redshaw, Head Futurist at popular UK trend agency Scarlet Opus, will be returning to Decor + Design in 2024 after a five year absence from Australian shores. Victoria’s highly anticipated return will arm visitors with the trend intelligence they need to navigate the shifting landscape of interior design and furniture.
Victoria has always been a firm visitor favourite, delivering a highly prescient Major Design Trends Forecast at six past editions of Australia’s No.1 Interiors Trade Event. She will be unveiling her full predictions for the coming year on Day One of the 2024 show, Wednesday 17th July.
Abigail Ahern: Discover How to Create Interiors People Never Want to Leave
Renowned British designer Abigail Ahern will also be a keynote speaker on Friday 18th July 2024. We are delighted to host the long-awaited Australian return of the woman W Magazine called “one of the world’s most exciting designers.”
As an influential tastemaker and a renowned authority on interiors, Abigail has earned a global following for her boundary pushing approach to design, her retail and product designs as well as her interior design portfolio.
Abigail has authored five interior books which have been published across the world and is a regular judge on the landmark BBC1 show Interior Design Masters, hosted by Alan Carr. Abigail also frequently contributes to radio and magazine columns with her expert advice.
Known for being consistently ahead of the design trail, whether she’s pioneering faux botanicals or dark, inky colour palettes, Abigail’s trendsetting designs are synonymous with glamour, eclecticism and quintessential British humour. An arbiter of cool Brit girl style, her palette seamlessly fuses masculine and feminine for a hip aesthetic that create spaces you never want to leave.
Her eponymous company was founded in 2003 and Abigail has dedicated herself to creating a successful lifestyle brand offering furniture, home décor, lighting and textiles for every room in the house, that is at the crossroads of modernity and tradition.
Encompassing a duality between relaxed living and a more refined aesthetic, Abigail’s designs blend classic influences with modern lines. Her aim is to inspire you to decorate differently by creating a unique welcoming oasis in which to gather, relax and retreat.
Don’t miss seeing Abigail Ahern at The Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF) & Decor + Design 2024, along with UK Design Futurist Victoria Redshaw and local design luminaries including David Hicks, Kate Nixon, Sasha Titchkovsky, Jen Bishop, Natalie Walton and more.
