After a very successful show in 2023, we are delighted that furniture company Vetro will be returning to exhibit at The Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF) in 2024!

Once again lighting up Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Australia’s most important buying and networking event for the furniture industry will pivot to a three day format this year. It will take place from Wednesday 17th – Friday 19th July, creating a more demarcated, focused retail space.

See a Portfolio of Contemporary Classics

Based in Melbourne, Vetro boasts more than 13 years’ experience across international markets, specialising in supplying unique, innovative and bespoke home furniture direct to Australia’s leading retail and design home furniture market.

Their ever-expanding, competitively-priced portfolio ranges has a contemporary classic aesthetic, incorporating high-tech finishes and quality to provide truly bespoke exclusive pieces.

The diversity of their range gives customers the ability to mix and match dining tables, dining chairs, bar stools and occasional pieces, allowing them to create their own personal feel. In the lead up to the event in July, we asked the Vetro team a few questions to understand more about their brand and what visitors can expect to see in 2024.

Can you tell us a little bit about the history of Vetro, the people behind it and its founding ethos?

Vetro began as a European based company in 2007. Anna Zaitseva (Vetro’s owner) then made the bold move of moving to Australia in 2018.

How would you describe the design aesthetic of your collections?

Vetro definitely has a European flavour to its product, which is traditionally dominated by Ceramic DiningTables and a vast range of Dining Chairs. However we are very conscious of the fact that we need to appeal to our broad range of consumers also and are now well equipped with a more diverse range.

Have any products or lines been a particular hit over the past year?

“Our list is quite long! AIFF23 was amazing for us, the response to our new range far exceeded expectations,

A few standouts include the Symphony Extension Table, Venice Ceramic Round Table, Toscana Ceramic Dining Table, Magnate outdoor Table which is in two sizes and two colours. It was amazing really.”

You have a thriving wholesale business. What kind of businesses or projects are you involved with?

As we are still relatively new to the Australian market, we are finding new customers all the time. We don’t have any specific projects, but prospects pop up all the time.

Clients include hotels, RSLs and even an aged care facility; as well as our fantastic support from our retail customers.  Our most exciting project will be our new showroom which will open in St Kilda in 2025.

Vetro is returning to the Australian International Furniture Fair in 2024. Why are trade shows important for the furniture industry? What can visitors expect to see at your stand?

“For us, people are very time poor these days and AIFF is one of the few opportunities available when we can capture as many retailers as we can over the three days of the show.  So while we still have this opportunity we intend to support it!”
